Whale Watching Non-Swimmer

From NZD $120.00
  • Duration: 4 Hours (approx.)
  • Location: Tamakautoga
Humpback Whales come to Niue to breed and raise their calves every year between July and October. We run trips to interact with these gentle giants from July and September, depending on arrival and departures of the Whales. Every interaction is different, but snorkelers have spent up to half an hour floating just metres away from a mother and calf- others prefer to watch from the boat, witnessing impressive breaches and playing spy hops and fin slaps.
The trips start with a classroom presentation about the Whales, learning about their behaviours and migratory patterns. We then head out on the ocean for a coastal tour and hopefully will spot some Whales along the way.

What makes our Whale trips unique is the new Hydrophone system that is a first for Niue and the longest running operator on the island. Gone are the days of one person on the head phones at a time- now everyone can experience this at the same time through speakers.

We are the only operators in Niue that allows all guests on board to listen to the beautiful Whale songs through our speaker system. Interact and experience the majestic Whales even when not in the water. It has to be heard to be believed.
